Our most recent competition ended last night. We were lucky enough to be offering 5 pairs of tickets to Fashion, Embroidery & Stitch, Sewing For Pleasure & Hobbycrafts at the NEC Birmingham between 24-27 March. Held at the NEC in Birmingham on 24-27 March it's sure to be a fabulous day out. There will be everything from catwalk shows, demonstrations, textile art to corset & quilts. If none of that quite ticks your box (how can it not?) then there is also the HobbyCrafts show and Sewing For Pleasure being held in the same venue at the same time.

A Magical and Crafty Woodland Competition!

It felt about time for another blog competition so I am bringing you something that I'm particularly excited about!

Today we are offering one lucky winner the chance to win one of our brand new Oak Leaf Badge Craft Kits and a brand new copy of Fantastic Fairies by Julie Sharp.

You may have noticed that we have a few craft kits now available at the Angel Eden store. However this is one of our new boxed kits. It has everything you need to make two felt oak leaf badges. How about keeping one for yourself and giving the other to a friend? This is one of several boxed craft kits that we debuted at  fairs just before Christmas and they were very popular with our customers. Cupcake & Treasure Pocket Comp Winner!!

Our biggest ever giveaway ended on Saturday evening and what a fun competition it has been. You all left such wonderful comments and it was very uplifting to know you all wanted to win so much and liked the items. I've only just got round to picking two names out of the hat (I'm not normally so late, but I was shattered after attending a weekend long Indian wedding). Anyway without further ado and with many drumrolls sounding, I printed off the entries and threw them into not a hat but the onion bag from a past post......

....and the Grand Prize Winner is Vicky (Victoria Dixon) who wins one of our cupcake pendants and a cupcake Treasure Pocket. I hope you'll love these items as much as we do :)

The runner up prize of a £10 voucher for the Angel Eden store was won by Utterly Scrummy, I hope you enjoy spending it!

Competition Time & Celebrations!!

It's been an exciting and busy time here at Angel Eden recently. First of all we won the Dorset Cereal Blog Award and I can't thank you enough for voting for us. Secondly the blog now has over 100 followers :) I love it when you leave me comments and send me emails with your thoughts, it's great to know you actually enjoy the nonsense I pipe out.

Our other big news is the slow introduction of our new textile accessories line on the webstore. Some of these are completed some are still in the testing process, but it's a very exciting time and we can't wait to add this string fully to our bow. Hopefully the first items will be online tomorrow!

So it seemed that a competition was the only appropriate way to really celebrate and say thanks. This will be our biggest ever giveaway and I'm very excited to announce it.

There will be a grand prize winner and one runner up. The grand winner will receive this prize worth more than £45!! It includes our popular solid silver cupcake pendant, this has been designed and handcrafted by us. The winner can also choose the length of chain they wish the pendant to hang on.

You will also receive one of our brand new (fanfare please) 'Treasure Pockets'. The pockets are hand embroidered using recycled fabrics, vintage buttons and lined with vintage French Linen. You can keep whatever you like in these. The cupcake pendant fits in beautifully in it's box. I keep my mobile phone in mine to stop my keys from scratching it. Customers at the open weekend were buying them to hold gifts, to use as purses and so on. So whatever you really treasure, this is the home it deserves. As each is individual you will never see exactly the same pocket twice.

We Won!!

As some of you may have guessed from the picture to the right we won the Dorset Cereals Little Blog Award!! Thank you all for taking the time to vote, I'm over the moon. I only found out a couple of days ago and I've been grinning ever since. Today three purple parcels arrived with the prizes, so I thought I better show you all.

First there was the iconic egg cup & cosy trophy with certificate, the egg cup is a bit posh on it's own. I turned it over to discover it was designed by Jasper Conran for Wedgewood! It will be going in the cabinet post-haste. The cosy is adorable but far too nice to actually use!

Then there were the two large boxes filled with six boxes of muesli and two boxes of granola. They are proper size boxes as well, not teeny tiny ones like you might expect. I'd like to think they'll last a little while, but knowing my family that's probably unlikely :) There was also a huge hesian shopping bag, which is heavy duty enough to come in very handy.

Now I just have to decide if it would be wrong of me to skip dinner in favour of a bowl of Chocolate & Macademia nut granola?

We have had a lot to celebrate recently and as great big thank you to all my lovely readers I will be launching our biggest ever giveaway in the next day or two so keep checking back to enter.

Presents!

Everybody loves presents and I'm no different. Infact I might just like presents a bit more than the average person, I still get ridiculously excited at Christmas time and I can match the children with ease. I have been on a wonderful high since this little package dropped through my letter box.

It came from the wonderful Daniella of Acorn & Will. You might remember that I mentioned this company in my recent blog about the Selvedge Magazine fair in London. They sell the most divine vintage style accessories. Their stall was easily one of the busiest and hardest to access at the time. Sadly I wasn't able to come away with any treats. So you can probably imagine the grin I had when I received an email, saying that not only did Daniella like my blog, but that she wanted to send me a little something! True to her word about two days later I received this bookmark and nail file case.

Gone are the days of putting my old shopping lists or receipts in place to hold my page. Now I finally have a bookmark worthy of showing off.

The nail file is a brilliant idea also, I always used to carry a nail file but they do have a habit of catching on handbag lining or scratching your phone. This simple idea gets rid of that problem.

Daniella was also very thoughtful and included this beautiful badge for my daughter. To my sons extreme delight a couple of days after this, a boy style badge dropped through the door with his name on it. He loved it so much it had to be photographed on his tshirt as he wouldn't agree to taking it off!

So a big huge thank you to Daniella for her generosity. Definitely take a look at the Acorn & Will site I'm sure you'll love them as much as I do.

Just had another present drop on the doormat! This time it was a tshirt from Truly Sanctuary for my youngest that I won in a blog comp held on All About The Boys Blog . Tried to get a couple of pics to show you but youngest wanted to wear it and quick!
